The cast and crew of the Harry Potter films will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by reuniting for an exhibition at Universal Orlando Resort, according to a press release from the venue.
The exhibit, titled “Harry Potter and the Rest of the Story: 20 Years Later,” will feature highlights from the series like clothes and props from the films, as well as exclusive ephemera, digitally enhanced recreations of set locations, and memorabilia showcasing the evolution of the franchise. Admission is included in regular park admission. The exhibit will open to the public on February 22, 2019.
Fans can get an early glimpse of the exhibit on February 20 and 21 at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Diagon Alley in Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
Potter author J.K. Rowling will also be involved in a retail shop called the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which will carry books and gift items. The book sales will be for both the United Kingdom and United States. Universal revealed that the first Harry Potter book, published in 2000, is expected to make an appearance in the shop as well.
“Harry Potter and the Secret History of Magic” will be Rowling’s first book since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, published in 2007. It will be published as a special edition edition and will be available at retailers on March 5, 2019.
The years leading up to the release of the book, May 5, 2019, will be celebrated with the release of several digital guides “focused on the characters and moments that help tell the story of the magical wizarding world.”
