First Lady Melania Visits Musicians Who Say Thanks in Style at the 2018 LACMA Art + Film Gala

First Lady Melania Trump took in some of the most amazing talent in the world at the 2018 LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles.

The annual event at the LACMA was a night of dazzling attire and awards for great work in movies and the art world.

While celebrities like Bette Midler and Glenn Close made speeches to honor the arts, some guests could not contain their excitement when Grammy award-winning artist Young Thug made a surprise appearance to perform.

Betty Who’s longtime friend, Michelle Belnap, jumped out of her seat to wave to Thugger as he walked into the room and posed for pictures with fans. He then walked around the corner and made his way into the stage, shaking hands with everyone and proudly introducing himself.

Superstar artists like Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Zoe Kravitz, Dave Chappelle, and Janelle Monae were also in attendance to help honor the entertainment and the art of the same.

While most hosts from the acting world presented the evening’s honor, one man stood out and walked away with a coveted award.

Spielberg presented an award of excellence to singer and actress Miley Cyrus, who gave a moving speech about her love of the film industry.

Another star of the night was 15-year-old sensation, Billie Eilish, who made her first public appearance to perform.

A unique teenager, Eilish performed four songs off her upcoming EP, debuting songs like “Treat Her Wrong” and “Auctioned,” as well as her new single, “Honeybee.”

Eilish said she feels “so relieved” that her music will finally be available, and she shared to her sister’s special Instagram that “she appreciates that everyone loves her” regardless of gender or sexual preference.
